mission

PEACE Communities coaches and empowers ordinary people to live as disciples, creating networks of disciple-makers, leaders, micro-churches, and Kingdom businesses that will saturate their local city with the good news and beauty of Jesus Christ.

Vision

Disciples in authority and authenticity that disciple others. Extended spiritual families, led by ordinary people, who live in everyday Gospel community and own the mission of Jesus in a particular network of relationships.

Who we are

PEACE COMMUNITIES IS COMMITTED TO THE GREAT COMMANDMENT AND THE GREAT COMMISSION. AS A RESULT:

1.
We first become disciples, then we disciple others.

2.

From memorization to mobilization, my heart is to help others journey beyond mere knowledge of The Great Commission. PEACE Communities helps us delve into the very essence of our humanity and challenges us to introspect. The question at hand is not so much about who is our neighbor, but rather, what kind of neighbor are we?

In a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected, where borders are blurred by technology and communication, it is imperative that we embrace our role as active participants in shaping the communities we inhabit. I believe
that implementation is the demonstration that the information we have learned has taken root. It is not enough to passively exist alongside our neighbors; we must actively engage with them, lending a helping hand, fostering empathy, and building bridges that lead others to Christ.

I love the Church deeply, and as I work with churches in North America, in Africa, Middle East and Asia, I sense God doing deep renovation in His Church, bringing us back to the realization of who we are as His army (ekklesia) – called out by Him, making impact in the society, wherever we are.

God’s heart is not wanting even one to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Thus, there is an urgency towards preparing for the return of Jesus – which includes completing the Great Commission through the Great Commandment. To fulfill this, we need every member on mission:

  • Every believer in Christ realizing our identity as a disciple-maker.
  • Every believer awakened to the movement of the Holy Spirit in and through us, being  obedient to the Word of God.
  • Every believer activated to be on God’s mission- doing what Jesus is doing, wherever we are.

We have entered this new season where it is not about celebrity pastors, powerful religious empires, or putting the super leaders/organizations on the pedestal. We are in this season which I call the “Rising of the Ordinary (Saints)”, where followers of Christ are equipped to function according to one’s God given gifts within simple structures that are decentralized. Small is the next big!

The creation of PEACE Communities for me, is a result of a personal discovery and the awareness of 2 foundational principles found in scripture. This discovery and awareness has led me to have a deep conviction as a believer of Jesus Christ that we first become a disciple and then we disciple others. Second, we move from memorization to mobilization of loving and discipling others, and becoming spiritual family wherever we’re at. As I travel the world and connect with local churches, organizations, and people groups, I have experienced and seen the lack of these two scriptures being lived out privately, personally, locally, and publicly. Starting with me. My heart as a team of ordinary people at PEACE Communities is to begin to model and live out a missional lifestyle that honors God and helps others to do this whether you are in a traditional church, organization, business, or involved in your community, simply put… we want to help others to live this out wherever they’re at!

What we believe
The Bible is God’s word to humanity. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Salvation is a gift from God to mankind.

One can never make up for one’s sin by self-improvement or good works – only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can one be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into one’s life by faith. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)

Human beings are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s creation.

Although humanity has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This attitude separates mankind from God. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1, 2)

The failure of human beings to measure up to God’s perfect standard of righteousness, whether in thought, word, or deed.
Because God gives humanity eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity.
